Nine sections each 62 ft long were welded together to make largest floating drydock in Canada; underwater welding of section joining butts is done from inside of each section; new dock will have lifting capacity of 25,000 long tons, enabling it also to accommodate largest of ocean-going passenger ships docking at Montreal.
