Previous studies of shock-flame interaction processes are critically reviewed; experimental ovservations reported are analyzed by means of vector polar method, which provides information on stationary states produced by interactions rather than on processes that occur in course of their progress; results of experimental study performed with use of hydrogen-oxygen mixtures at low initial pressures are presented and interpreted by use of same method of analysis.
