Behavior of cross-country vehicles on these soils is influenced by road hugging qualities of rolling wheels and rolling resistance; to predict these values, method is proposed which employs soil characteristics as criteria, determined by means of grain size analysis, water content and Atterberg limits, oedometric modulus and angle of internal friction.
