Solar simulation system, designed by RCA Service Co, will provide simulated environment for operational tests of Apollo Spacecraft and crew; its design is based upon on-axis modular system which uses carbon-arc as radiant source operating at fixed input level of 32 kw d-c at 400 amp; description of development efforts and tests.
