For long-term space flights such as planetary station concept of semipermanent station keeping, use of systems is proposed in which maximum use is made of regenerative techniques; regenerative physico-chemical and biological systems are described; regeneration of O2, H2O and food, and production of d-c electric power from sophisticated system of waste management are considered and problem areas indicated.
