Maintenance and reliability simulation program put into operation at Douglas Aircraft Corp was instigated by NASA Langley study for Manned Orbital Research Laboratory (MORL); program has been used to yield valuable information about queue lengths, maintenance time, trade-off analysis of reliability vs spare weight, crew size, and mission length; Monte Carlo methods used, program logic, and special features are considered.
