Two methods of orbital maneuvering are possible -- maneuver only with aid of forces created by airborne engine installation (energy maneuvering), and with aid of combination of aerodynamic forces and on-board energy (aero-energy maneuvering); choice of method of maneuvering is reduced to selection of aerodynamic configurations for vehicle; examination of pure energy maneuver and two possible variations of aeroenergetic maneuver, namely, optimum power method and method based on accelerated entry into atmosphere; comparison of maneuvers.
