Paper is restricted to analysis of importance of gamma radiation scattering from nozzle surfaces; objective is to determine intensity and energy distribution of photon flux at crew department locations due to scattering from nozzle, and to estimate shielding required to reduce resulting dose to biologically tolerable levels.
