Two general equations for lifting re-entry trajectories are presented; importance of method is that it allows study of both phases of return from space, i.e., any re-entry problem, limiting conic, and re-entry phase itself, in unique way; general similarity rule already obtained for re-entry equations can be applied to limiting conic and to other interesting quantities; some approximate solutions are presented which are particularly useful in preliminary design problems.
