Manned Aerospace Flight Simulator was designed as research facility for man-in-loop studies; first of studies discussed is simulation of two-stage launch vehicle and manned lifting ballistic capsule; another study regarding pilot control of launch vehicle systems was simulation of lunar landing craft to obtain data regarding pilot's ability to control launch, transfer, and terminal phases of lunar lander mission and to determine how much assistance he will require from cockpit displays, on-board computers, autopilots, etc; results obtained are given.
