Comparisons of equilibrium temperature measurements of prototype and three scaled thermal models of simulated spacecraft made within "cold-wall" vacuum chamber form basis of investigation; 1/2-and 1/5-scale model of prototype were tested to examine applicability of set of thermal modeling laws which specifies different materials of construction to achieve identical temperatures at homologous locations in model and prototype; third model, also 1/2-scale, was tested to examine application of another set of thermal modeling laws which allows use of identical materials but predicts different temperature fields in model and prototype; summary of results obtained.
