Automatic flight computer-managed display systems described employ cathode ray tubes and appropriate solid-state displays to provide flight crew with automatically sequenced, time-varying information that is not only more accurate and complete than that provided by conventional flight deck instrumentation, but is more pertinent to each flight regime and requires less manual control and adjustment; automatic display flight management profile is shown together with pilot's display panel configurations in various flight stages; prime purpose of paper is to stimulate development of components needed for such display systems.
