Technical information problem is concerned with utilizing past and present research and development information as raw material in future work; phases of work consist of input, i.e., recording of information as reports, papers, and speeches for subsequent use; initial output, i.e., dissemination of material; and continuing availability which concerns maintenance of permanent records of information in form of abstracts, indices, bibliographies, etc, so that future use is simplified.
