Background and development of 55,000-lb wheeled dynamometer truck; areas given special consideration are power train, power absorption equipment, draw-bar measurement, fiber glass cab construction, and data recording equipment; use is made of off-shelf military and commercial equipment and Doppler radar unit for road speed measurements; methods used that make possible delivery of vehicle 10 mo from date of contract.
