Inspection program applied at Cleveland Transit System, fleet of which is composed of 5 different makes of buses and total of 16 different models; buses are located in 5 garages throughout city; one of garages houses repair facilities where units are rebuilt and major bus components replaced; program of inspections includes daily driver defect report, and 3000-, 6000- and 24,000-mi inspection by maintenance department; types of inspections performed and forms that are used with those inspections; major reports and records of system are covered and their use by several echelons of management; method used in collecting mileage.
