Single screw, single deck ship with machinery and all accommodation aft was built by Scotts' Shipbldg and Eng Co, and is for carriage of iron ore, bauxite and alumina; length oa 500 ft 5 1/2 in., breadth molded 66 ft 9 1/4 in., depth to upper deck 39 ft, draft 28 ft 4 3/4 in., dw 15,290 tons, grain capacity 770,041 cu ft and bale 693,098 cu ft; 6-cyl Scott-Sulzer engine has output of 6600 bhp at 135 rpm.
