Notes on passenger car construction at Pullman works of Pullman Standard Car Mfg Co, Chicago; railroad passenger cars, utilizing light weight alloys and welded construction, permit higher speed trains; production welding methods and equipment used; unique resistance welders give high production; speeds up to 150 ft per hr also obtained in fusion welding of under frames by employing Union Melt process.
