Investigation conducted in NACA 20-ft wind tunnel of ramming effect of three general types of carburetor intake rams for radial engines, namely, internal constant area type, external constant area type, and external expanding type; rams were installed on radial air cooled engine nacelle and tests made with and without propeller operating.
