Position of gas engine to date, insofar as its use in connection with power stations ashore and in connection with town's gas grids is concerned; possibilites of application to ship types and of converting existing heavy oil engine plants to gas operation; it is shown that experience in building land gas engines is available for marine purposes when and as necessary.
