Double wire transmissions for points and signals introduced on Victorian Government Railways in 1926, found little use until 1934 when further installations were brought into service; improvements in equipment; signals are being operated at distances up to 1500 yd, and points up to 850 yd; features included in new equipment; notes on signal and point mechanisms and mechanical detectors.
