Budd Mfg Co, drawn by Pacific type steam locomotive, has total weight of 500,025 lb; Budd shotweld process used in fabrication; cars carried on 4-wheel equalized swing bolster truck; locomotives develop tractive force of 40,900 lb, with boiler pressure of 220 lb, cylinders 25 in. in diam by 28 in. stroke, and driving wheels 80 in. in diam; boiler has total evaporative heating surface of 2984 sq ft.
