Lightship described has distinction of being first of her kind in world; measures 133 ft. 3 in. by 30 ft. by 15 ft. by 12 ft. 6 in. draft; two 500-mm. lanterns equipped with lamps whose light will be visible for 15 mi. under ordinary conditions; power plant is made up to four 4-cylinder, 4-cycle, 112 1/2-b.hp., air-injection Winton Diesels whose normal operating speed is 350 r.p.m. these engines are modification of Winton's 6-cylinder, 200-b.hp. model.
