Two engines of B.3 class, 4-6-0 type, have been fitted with new cylinders and Beardmore-Caprotti valve gear; cylinders, 16 by 26 in.; driving wheels 6 ft. 9 in.; working pressure 180 lb. per sq. in.; tractive effort at 85 per cent boiler pressure 25,145 lb.; coupled wheelbase 15 ft. 6 in.; total engine weight in working order 79.25 tons.
