Demonstration of possibilities of Diesel engine in highway transportation was recently made when Hill Diesel Engine Co. installed one of their 4-cylinder 3 1/2 by 6 Diesel engines in Reo Speed Wagon; transported Diesel-electric generator set from their factory at Lansing to New York and established record for low-cost transportation; cross-section of Diesel engine; tables of transportation statistics from Lansing to Nyack, and return.
