Coach built by Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Co.; articulated coaches are made in two parts, adjacent ends of which rest on central four-wheeled truck on which engine and boiler are also mounted, while outer ends are carried on four-wheeled trailing trucks; coach is of mild-steel construction throughout.
