Modification of electric equipments of all cars of Societe des Transports en Commun de la Region Parisienne; compound-wound motors with simplified control and use of automatic braking save 25 per cent of propulsion energy, besides increasing speed, reducing brake wear and maintenance; recommendation for rebuilding all modern motors on system was made as result of extensive tests on 20 equipments.
