Boostgliders offer possibility of rapid long distance travel (e.g. England to Australia in 75 min) and boosters using similar technology offer possibility of "everyday" travel between earth and space stations; paper uses parametric methods to assess conditions for boostgliders to be commercially competitive and to discuss their evolution in relation to other boosters and advanced aircraft; conclusions are summarized.
