Requirements for acceptable non-programmed wide angle visual displays for use in training of pilots are outlined together with factors which influence requirements; performance characteristics of flight simulator which are important to attachment/simulator combination, limits of visual world envelope, and requirements for specific missions are shown; description of visual attachments and research hardware developed by U S Naval Training Device Center.
