Reliability program for development and production of U S Air Force T-38 airplane emphasized systematic identification and correction of modes of failure disclosed by design analysis and testing of accepted components, subsystems and systems; analysis presented supports conclusion that reliability program objective, cost benefit to customer, was accomplished; timeliness of reliability attainment is shown to be key factors of economic importance.
