Factors considered included speed-thrust stability, static stability, control sensitivity, and cockpit location relative to landing gear; study of approach and landing task was conducted with fixed-cockpit simulator which provides pilot with realistic view of runway during concluding portion of approach; evaluations in terms of pilot opinion and measured landing performance are presented and experiences with simulation technique discussed.
