Analysis of possible operational areas for aircraft with ramjet propulsion in coordinate system flight altitude, flight Mach number; advantages of ramjet propulsion compared with different propulsion systems are investigated, especially in connection with their application as motive power of first stage of space carriers for high payload; upper limits of suitability of ramjets operating with subsonic combustion, which occur at high flight Mach numbers, are discussed.
