Standard is proposed for conducting environmental tests with gas turbine aircraft engines which are employed in U S Navy fleet aircraft operations working under severe operating conditions; environmental tests comprise simulation of salt-laden air ingestion, icing, water ingestion, and sand and dust ingestion; suggestions are made relating to facilities or devices to be used.
