Objectives of design program for Corvette disk brake system, tailored for sports car performance without power assist; Delco-Moraine caliper design was selected incorporating constant contact which plays important part in making brake system effective without power assist; separate parking brake system became necessary and mechanically actuated drum type duo-servo parking brake, designed in Grand Sport Corvette program, was adapted into production of 1965 Corvette; development of hydraulics and disks; results of brake tests, fade and recovery tests; additional road tests; caliper development.
