Vehicle concept dictates size and motif of interior package which, integrated with chassis package, comprises overall vehicle package; within concept, drivers and passengers must be seated in comfort and safety; dimensioning system is described using mannikin which is 50th percentile male in size and weight with leg adjustment to 90th percentile; at Ford Motor Co, however, standard manikin is placed in driver position using 50th percentile legs to develop package; this is checked with 10th percentile female manikin; basic front seat and rear seat packaging; other factors to consider, such as package entrance and exit factors, head to roof rail dimension, etc.
