Formed in 1946 to undertake cooperative research for British motor industry, Motor Industry Research Assn (MIRA) is now backed by about 600 member companies; MIRA consists of well-equipped laboratories, proving ground and numerous other test facilities in area of more than 600 acres, near Coventry; information is given about organization, equipment, work in progress, etc; chart lists research projects and test activities.
