Tests were made to evaluate design limits on generation of overpressures by supersonic aircraft for civil transport; F-101 and F-104 fighters and B-58 bombers were used in flights scheduled over period of several weeks, during which sonic booms of 1.5 to 2 psf were generated; results are indicated for findings in four test houses, public reaction and public claims.
