Studies concerning aerodynamic problems include airtight tests and method for measuring aerodynamic drag of train; investigations of structural strength cover strength analyses and load tests on side frames of production type and airtight car bodies, welding of anticorrosive steel sheets and plates in car bodies, strength of axles, wheels, flexible sheet for box suspension and strength of truck-frame, bolster and bolster anchor; effect of wheel flat on strength of truck and on power transmission system; tests of main motors of electric railcar.
