Investigation to determine effect of boundary-layer control on lift and drag of airfoil; advantages which might be possible by application of boundary-layer control to airplane; maximum lift coefficient was increased 96 per cent for one slot arrangement, and minimum drag coefficient was decreased 27 per cent for another.
