Radio system of blind landing aids, developed by Aeronautics Research Division of Department of Commerce at National Bureau of Standards; adaptable for use in conjunction with radio navigational aids already being provided for point-to-point flying on civil airways of United States, and requires minimum of additional equipment both on ground and on airplane; combined instrument giving indication of position of airplane relative to both runway and landing-beam path.
