Drydock of Morton Engineering and Dry Dock Co. is on Quebec shore at mouth of St. Charles River; dock of G. T. Davie and Sons is on south bank of St. Lawrence at Lauzon, opposite Quebec; tracks for both installations are of three-way type; those for Morton dock are of select Douglas fir; tracks for Davie dock are of reinforced concrete for upper 362 ft., placed directly on rock surface; each drydock is hauled by cast-steel chains, without welds, connected to cradle through equalizing mechanism.
