Cars being constructed by Drewry Car Co., London; coachwork by Craven' s Railway Carriage and Wagon Co.; car is equipped with automatic gear-changing device; length over headstocks 42 ft.; weight 20 tons; dimensions of trailer car are same, except that weight is only 14 tons; main engine was constructed by Parsons Oil Engine Co. has six cylinders of 4 3/4-in. bore by 6-in. stroke, and develops 115 hp. at normal working speed of 1650 r.p.m.; transmission gearing.
