Review of report of inquiry, issued July 6, 1931, which arrives at conclusion that cause of accident was failure on part of enginemen to obey signal indications; report concludes thus: It is difficult to imagine better illustration in support of conclusions of Committee upon Automatic Train Control; had equipment of this kind existed, operating in conjunction with distant signal, accident would probably have been prevented.
