Canadian Pacific Railway authorities have been experimenting during past 3 years, in hope of developing economical means of building up battered rail ends by electric welding; nine complete grinding and welding outfits are at work with staff of 36 skilled welders; during current year further extensions have been made, involving improvements in technique.
