Method of utilizing lightweight portable radio transmitters, used by car inspectors, in combination with fixed radio station connected to loud speakers on posts along departure yard at joint freight terminal of Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac at Potomac Yard, Alexandria, Va; time is saved in connection with inspection and make-up of trains ranging from 75 to 160 cars each, and in expediting terminal brake test.
