New series, 71-E and 71-T engines will power trucks and buses ranging from 26,000 to 60,000 lb gross vehicle weight and up; 4-cyl 71-E is rated 140 hp and 6-cyl 210 hp, both at 2100 rpm; 71-T 4-cyl unit is rated 171 hp at 2300 rpm and 6-cyl engine is rated 236 hp at 2100 rpm.
