Terminology thought necessary for comparison of complete cycling or repetitive pulse-power systems is introduced; characteristics of one complete and operational system and experience with pulse-power systems based on thin-plate, rechargeable nickel-cadmium, and on warm-alkaline, continuous-feed hydrogen-oxygen system are reviewed; development needs and guidelines are outlined.
