Results of tests of Bureau of Standards in finding materials for sound proofing airplane cabins are discussed; revamped Ford airplane cabin used with 2-in. layer of Dry Zero blanket; three airplane cabins built for test purposes in Sound Laboratory; absorption necessary; radio used in measuring and recording sound intensities.
