Recently available airplane export figures are discussed; aircraft exports for first quarter of 1929 doubled in value those for 1928 period; it appears that American aeronautic industry has awakened to possibilities existing for sales in foreign countries; six countries were responsible for unprecedented increase during March, 1929; Mexico purchased 18 planes valued at $388,018, Chile 8 units at $135,300; Japan, Canada, Cuba and French Oceania also participating.
