Some difficulties with which British aircraft industry are faced in developing all-metal construction for airplanes are discussed; steel fuselage construction developed by Handley-Page; circular-section steel tubes joined by welding; where two tubes are joined together sleeve is slipped over joint; duralumin wing construction; attaching fittings for inter-plane struts.
