By means of suggested method of structural calculation it is possible rapidly to obtain comparative results due to variations of geometrical proportions of cantilever wings; method useful for exploring possibilities of various wing forms in initial stages of new design; weight of wing spar obtained represents minimum weight attainable under ideal conditions of uniform stress throughout material, and use of wing section having stationary center of pressure.
